Frequently asked questions
Does resizing reduce quality?
Shrinking is essentially lossless to the eye — you are discarding detail you cannot see at the smaller size. Enlarging is different: the extra pixels have to be invented, so the result looks soft. Start from the largest original you have.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes. Drop in a whole folder’s worth, set the options once, and download the results as a batch. Each image keeps its own aspect ratio.
Are transparent PNGs preserved?
Yes, as long as you keep the format as PNG or WebP. Converting to JPG replaces transparency with white, since JPG has no alpha channel.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The resizing runs on a canvas inside your browser. The files never leave your device, and there is nothing to delete afterwards.
