Frequently asked questions
Do these codes expire?
No. The content is encoded directly into the pattern, so nothing depends on our servers. A printed code will still work in ten years. Codes that expire are "dynamic" ones that point at a redirect service.
What error-correction level should I pick?
L recovers about 7% damage, M about 15%, Q about 25% and H about 30%. Use M for screens. Use H for anything printed, on packaging, or likely to be scuffed — higher levels make the pattern denser but far more forgiving.
Can I change the colours?
Yes, but keep strong contrast between the code and the background, and keep the code darker than the background. Inverted or low-contrast codes fail on many scanners.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
It encodes the network name, password and security type in a standard format. Phone cameras recognise it and offer to join the network directly — handy for guest networks, since nobody has to type the password.
