Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
WebP for websites, JPG when you need something every tool and device accepts, PNG when you need transparency or are working with screenshots, logos and line art.
What happens to transparency when I convert to JPG?
It becomes white. JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas must be filled with something. Convert to PNG or WebP if the transparency matters.
Does converting change the resolution?
No. The pixel dimensions stay exactly as they were — only the encoding changes. Use the Image Resizer if you also want different dimensions.
