Why is permission denied?
Either you declined earlier, or the site is blocked in your browser settings. Click the padlock in the address bar to review the permission for this site.
Why does it say the device cannot be opened?
Something else is already using it. Cameras in particular are usually exclusive — close Zoom, Teams or any other tab holding the device and try again.
Is anything recorded?
No. The stream is displayed and immediately discarded. Nothing is recorded, stored or transmitted — which is the point of testing here rather than on a call.
