Frequently asked questions
Why is there no sound in my recording?
You have to tick "share system audio" in the browser’s own share dialog, not just here. On macOS, Chrome can only capture tab audio, not the whole system.
Can I record just one window?
Yes — the share dialog offers the whole screen, a specific window or a browser tab. Tab capture usually gives the cleanest result and the smallest file.
Is there a time limit?
No, but the recording is held in memory until you save it. Very long captures can exhaust available memory, so save in chunks for anything over an hour.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. It is assembled in your browser and saved directly to your device. Nothing is transmitted at any point.
